Supporting schools to safeguard pupils

South West Grid for Learning (SWGFL) offers tools and advice for schools seeking to improve their pupils’ online safety – both in the classroom and at home. We collaborated with them to get the message out.

Working with SWGFL, we wrote case studies about how one of their key digital literacy and e-safety tools has made a difference in schools across Wales. More recently, we’ve also helped SWGFL staff improve their writing skills with copywriting training.

Tackling difficult subjects
Online behaviour can have huge ramifications on young peoples’ lives. We wrote a number of scripts aimed directly at young people, for teachers to read out in class. They handled issues such as self-harm, cyber bullying and grooming by telling the stories of made up characters experiencing these issues.

SWGfL have been working with Ink for over 3 years and have consistently been delighted by their work, ethics and manner. Often working to tight deadlines and limited budgets, Ink have always delivered for us. They take the time to fully understand the brief for what can be difficult subject matters and for complex output styles. Ink have not only worked to produce copy for us but have additionally shared their expertise in the feedback given and in a bespoke training event we commissioned. This training event was significant in that Ink took the time to understand the needs of our client before training and supporting us to write in their tone and style. We appreciate all that Ink do in their work with us and look forward to a continued strong and positive working relationship. – Andrew Williams, Online Safety Consultant
